You have the basics now, Your Welcome Post at the top of your blog, You have changed your theme and added the tools for bookmarking
Now you want to try to gain some readers while you are adding more content and making your blog into what you want.
One of the best ways is to use Social Sites to gain readers, you can use them by adding your link to them, chatting in the forums to gain interest in you, maybe even create things for them like widgets or themes.
Following is a list of 50 that are accesible and can gain you readers and traffic at the same time. I will cover more on how to use them in another post.
While you most likely wont use all of them or agree with all of them, in their own special way they can be used to gain readers and visitors. Some are your normal social network sites others can be used in other ways than simply adding comments or chatting, try making a video for yahoo or creating a popular group at Google, with face book you could make a blogging application that everyone can use. Its upto you at the end of the day, but at least give it a try.

I visit MyBlogLog every day and have almost 7,000 contacts. As fo the others I might visit every now and again. I have yet to get a hige amount of traffic to make it worth my time to invest on regular visits to any place other then MyBlogLog.

Nice and useful list…however it takes time to understand each before one can get any meaningful traffic from them…but definitely worth the effort, in most cases…
Hv included a link to your post @ my blog aweBsome - all that’s awesome on the weB @ http://www.eit.in/b/awe/

Thanks for all that info. I have just written a review about the mainstream social networks sites most of them mentioned above. (Digg, Del.icio.us, StumbleUpon, Sphinn, Reddit and etc..) You can check the review at:

Ahh… I don’t have some of these… Thanks.. But I noticed you did not include Trig.com? I’ve noticed even though it’s niche is music based it’s blog is VERY powerful if you have a decent sized number of “Trigs”
if your profile is trigged your profile is in the “profile pool” viewed more often.
Adding friends is also easy done.. I joined about 4 weeks ago and already have well over 3k in friends well worth a gander.
Best of luck,
Seanzy

Great list, but i’m curious about cre8buzz. I joined it and I like the format and such of the site. But I haven’t seen any benefits, have you recieved any traffic? or readers from it?
