Front Page Of Digg

  • Hitting the front page is hard to do you must have
  • Unique Content
  • Unique Information
  • Outstanding Photos for getting hits for photos
  • A bit of luck
  • Information to back up your information
  • Accurate Information

Don’t forget hitting the front page of digg can bring thousands of users to your blog so is your blog prepared for the rush of readers.

Subjects that can help you hit the frontpage seem to always be the following

  • Decent Photos
  • Lists
  • Politics
  • Top Game Lists
  • Previews of new games or movies
  • Technology
  • Unique Gadgets
  • Howtos

Always try to shoutout to at least 30 other users. If these are fast at digging it should get your post noticed. Don’t shout every post you make as it gets annoying. Try to get a converstation going in the comments on your blog and the comments area in digg.

If you have a post that you think could hit the frontpage on digg, hook up a few mates to digg your article within the first 15 minutes of listing as well as doing the shoutout.

Images in your post seem to be a must, videos do well also.

Thank people who digg your shoutouts, makes them feel special and more likely to digg something else of yours.

Be prepared, don’t have lots of widgets on your blog, don’t have any popups or annoying ads that flash constantly while reading the article.

Stumble Hits

I don’t claim to be a stumbleupon expert but my stats on there are as follows.

Likes 1,550 pages, 2 videos, 33 photos267 fans • Received 19 reviews

So for every 5 pages I stumble I get 1 fan not bad, but it is these fans and the people that you mark as a fan that can make your stumbles a success.

I know your not supposed to stumble your own posts but I do if I think it is going to be liked and useful for others to read. Most of my posts I have stumbled have been favourited by at least 20 people and in some cases upto 60 people have added it to their favourites.

The content must be.

  • Well Written
  • Quite Unique
  • Have Images if possible
  • Fast Loading
  • In most cases it must offer the reader something

Always offer an alternative method for readers to sumble your posts. Not everyone has the toolbar.

Please don’t send messages through stumbleupon to get others to stumble your posts. For one thing its against the TOS and another its annoying to wake up to 30 requests.

Stumble everything you see and like, will bring in more viewers to your profile and get you a few more friends.

Always check your friends to make sure they are active, get rid of the dead weight as it is just a friends slot that could be taken up by a more active user.

Try to say thankyou to anyone that stumbles your posts.

Do put something in your profile with a link to your blog.

Dont pay for stumbles its just wasted money.

50 Social Network Sites

While you most likely wont use all of them or agree with all of them, in their own special way they can be used to gain readers and visitors. Some are your normal social network sites others can be used in other ways than simply adding comments or chatting, try making a video for yahoo or creating a popular group at Google, with face book you could make a blogging application that everyone can use. Its upto you at the end of the day, but at least give it a try.

Get Yourself Known On The Social Networks

This is easy but takes a bit of work. I have only done this with one place and aim to do it with others.

I use blogcatalog alot, since before they had the discussion boards. But after they opened them I decided to become a bit of a face on there. One that everyone would know.

For a start I used an avatar, one that could be used over every network I was a member of. This avatar will have a knock on effect. When someone sees your avatar being widely used in a good way they decide to check up on you and add you as a friend in other networks.

My tips.

  • Use the same avatar
  • Don’t add loads of friends as its spamming, let them come to you.
  • Post often and with relevant information
  • Don’t be afraid to piss a few people of
  • Interact in the social threads like whats your name or favourite colour.
  • Don’t be afraid to have a post removed as non-relevant
  • Leave a decent description if your promoting your blog. Give users a reason to look at your blog
  • Post to the proper area
  • Dont post the same content to multiple areas
  • Open yourself up to questions
  • Ask questions if your not sure
  • Join any groups you like and become a face in them as well
  • Get to know the admins
  • Get to know the other users

Sites That Help Your Blogging

Some of these you will know, others are who I think are up and coming bloggers or blogging sites. All are worth a look and worth using.

Thanks so much. This list kicks butt. There are so many ways to get traffic to any website with social networking and blogging but the one thing I have learned is that the more you become known as someone who just provides quality and value in your niche or market, the better results you will have in your business. This is definitely quality and value here. Thanks again.

This is one heck of a post, Chris. Seeing it all in one place is a bit overwhelming, but at least now I can see clearly why I have to be careful to allow time for the most important thing, writing! Easy to get distracted by all of this, as important as it is.

Lindsay Price is seen here in between takes on the set of Lipstick Jungle on location in New York City. Lindsay plays the role of an up and coming, albeit struggling, fashion designer in New York City, and she always seems to have style and wardrobe that is iconic to the struggling designer quirky yet trendy. She is playing up this quirkiness with a look that is very reminiscent of Carrie Bradshaw s flower year in Sex and the City and Lindsay has had her hair styles in a mess of curls and festooned with a bright flower. The curls in this look are achieved with small sized rollers, and then finished with a very narrow curling iron. You will want to ensure that you have a healthy amount of mousse or curling serum in your hair before you attempt this look. Keep your rollers in for at least 30 minutes, and remember to use your smallest sizes if you want curls as tight as Lindsay. When you take your rollers out, create a side part, and finger comb out your curls. Clip a barette or pretty flower to the side f
or a fun and flirty summer look. If you need to neaten up your curls at all, do so with the narrow curling iron to freshen up your bouncy curls.
Welcome to the Hairstyles Top. Here you will find the latest top hair style pictures, and advice for new hairstyles: wedding hairstyles, prom hairstyles, long hairstyles, kids hairstyles, etc. Lots of celebrity haircuts.
