You must have seen them out in the mass web somewhere along the lines, they are those quite attracive ads that are seen in corners across the internet.
They are also supposed to have quite high click through rates.
For the page peel ads we are going to use AdivorPeel download the files and extract them, you will need a password but it is displayed right below the download link. Upload the files via FTP to your server, they need to go in the root of your wordpress install, in other words not in themes or plugins, the root could be .com/ or .com/wordpress e.t.c
Once you have done that you need to Create 2 image files, 1 small (75×75) and 1 large (500×500) this is for your adverts and can be for whatever you like, Im sure some major advertisers will have some images for you to use already.
Edit the adivorpeel.js file to change the names of your 2 image files and the URL to go to when your ad is clicked on. Change the paths for the small.swf and large.swf if necessary.
Place a script tag in the body of your html page that points to adivorpeel.js this may take some tweaking as it could break some themes or mess up plugins you have alreay got in wordpress.
The call to the script could look like this
<script src=”./pagepeel/PagePeel.js” type=”text/javascript”></script>
This may need altering depending on where you put the files
You can use .GIF, .JPG, .PNG and .SWF files for your small and large images.
To start I added mine into the footer, this looked quite good but I wasnt sure if it would get many clicks. I tried in the posts but that didnt work with my theme, it may with yours just alter single.php normally under the name post or something like that.
I have added it to my sidebar through the sidebar as it seems a good place and its next to the adsense.
You can see it to your right, I havent altered the images or anything yet as I dont have anything to put there, but at least it is done and works.
You can add the code anywhere you like, different files appear to have different looks, if added to the footer after a call for ‘Recent Entries’ it will appear within that box as it does with mine at the bottom, I set it up just for an example.
They only show on the main page which can be a good thing

Do you have any examples of the Ads on your site? I am a little confused as to what type of ads these are. Thanks.
